Message from CEO
When you are on the cloud, it rains data. From the days where applications generated data, we entered the phase where data produces applications. This phenomenon of rapid and huge data arriving out of an enterprise eco-system requires new methods of data handling. This paper elucidates cloud computing methodologies while developing and nurturing data warehouse platform, enabling to make use of the data, and transforming an enterprise into ‘Data Driven Decision Making’ enterprise.

Digital transformation, the exciting opportunities and agility it provides businesses, is top of mind for most enterprises, accelerated by the events and impacts of 2020. It promise new revenues and markets for coffee shops, global corporations, distributed factories, research organizations, and public institutions alike.
CEO of Digital.ai, Leader in Value Stream Management, providing end-to-end visibility to deliver business value from digital transformation. Every company is a digital company in our digital economy. For years, companies across industries have embraced the idea of digital transformation, investing in new technologies and strategies to become more digital. Now the coronavirus pandemic has increased the urgency around accelerating these initiatives.
All industries are feeling the pain of preventing rising risks to their applications, private information and customers’ data, and it is not surprising that this is especially true in the financial services sector. In fact, fintech companies on average spent more than $18 million in 2019 battling cybercrime, while other markets’ companies spend an average of $13 million addressing cybersecurity concerns each year.
Over the next 3 years, enterprises will spend an average of 30% of their IT budgets on edge cloud computing, according to a 2019 report by Analysys Mason. And with good reason. Edge computing takes place at or near the physical location of either the user or the source of the data. It follows, then, that placing computing services closer to these locations enables providers to offer faster, more reliable services to clients while also benefiting from the flexibility of hybrid cloud computing.
Over the last decade, enterprises have seen unprecedented growth in cloud adoption. According to Gartner, the public cloud services market was anticipated to grow by 6.3% year on year in 2020, totaling almost $258 billion. One of the biggest drivers of the growth we’re seeing is cloud application services. Enterprises are reaping the benefits of transitioning application workloads to the cloud. Throughout my career as a CTO, and in the tech industry generally, I’ve seen firsthand how organizations can benefit from transitioning their applications to the cloud. Below are just a few of the positive outcomes I’ve seen.
“COVID wrote the business case — our future is digital.” So said the CIO of a manufacturer last month. 2020 was a year that his and every company will never forget.
The pandemic changed everything. Companies that had laid the foundations of cloud and agility and strategic partnerships were ready to respond with digital solutions. Those that hadn’t scrambled and flailed. Last year, 85% of firms viewed digital as nice to have. In 2020, every company learned that digital is critical to customer and business success.
Distributed cloud, AI engineering, cybersecurity mesh and composable business drive some of the top trends for 2021.
When employees at an industrial site returned to the workplace after it was closed during the COVID-19 pandemic, they noticed a few differences. Sensors or RFID tags were used to determine whether employees were washing their hands regularly. Computer vision determined if employees were complying with mask protocol and speakers were used to warn people of protocol violations. What’s more, this behavioral data was collected and analyzed by the organizations to influence how people behaved at work.
A surge in remote working has put the focus on cloud services to support work-from-home requirements, maintain business continuity and build business resilience. When COVID-19 caused a sudden and dramatic increase in the number of remote workers, cloud offerings delivered on their promise of scaling to support business imperatives — including business continuity and disaster recovery and ensuring the availability of key workloads in the midst of change.
Successful cloud vendors know that there is no one-size-fits-all strategy to gain competitive advantage and market share. Cloud providers must personalize their marketing/sales messages based on customer demographics – for example, CTO versus developer, SMB versus large enterprises, or financial firm versus manufacturing company. In this blog post, we look at how cloud buyers vary across three important global regions: North America, Western Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
Digital transformation has been a critical differentiator for enterprise crisis recovery. The need to shift entire workforces and operations in response to a global pandemic was a wake-up call to digital resistors, as they lacked the flexibility and innovation to better adapt to changing conditions. Now, ten months after the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic, CEOs are considering how to flatten their recessionary curves, work towards enterprise recovery, and build more resilient organizations.
This IDC Perspective explores how IT organizations must pivot from investment road maps based on hardware and software portfolios to the establishment of three control planes to manage cloud services, business processes, and commerce. The pandemic has made technology essential to the survival and recovery of the enterprise, forcing CIOs into new territories and unplanned courses of action. CIOs must now regain control over their future and proactively deal with the hybrid nature of their IT environment to set their enterprise on a successful course in an increasingly volatile and digital economy.
Information Technology firms use many applications and service providers while developing software products or while providing various software services. An Identity and access management (IAM) Framework is essential in every firm to ensure only authorized users, programs, and devices access critical applications.
AI/ML are now essential to businesses to deliver value to customers, optimise decision making and to provide a clear edge in a competitive landscape. As the advances in core AI/ML technology becomes more and more available and consumable it is apparent that organisations need to leverage this for themselves at a faster pace.
Every invention however simple it may seem is the result of many hours of hard work. Though inventors want to show their inventions to the world, they guard their ideas from theft and plagiarism. As I type these lines, I thank Edison for my well-lit space and Charles Babbage for the computer.
As the world remembers 2020 for COVID pandemic, in the cyber world 2014 will long be remembered for a series of mega security breaches and attacks. Well known mega breaches in 2014 in the order of magnitude are:
coMakeIT was founded in 2007 by a team of professionals with a mission to help software businesses innovate continuously. They had one goal in mind, to build a company of software craftsmen.
Whenever an organization is looking to outsource, various questions arise, centered mainly on how to outsource and which engagement model to follow. Owing to the highly competitive nature of the market we thrive in, there is an inherent need to seek out new ways to increase productivity and efficiency.
Identity theft is one of the biggest security concerns in India and worldwide. The Cyberworld is becoming more and more sophisticated – They’re using advanced machine learning and artificial intelligence to steal your identity.
